Cosmetics, bio-electro devices and product authentication technology take center stage as Filipino demand for beauty and personal care products keeps climbing
Taiwanese cosmetics, beauty technology and wellness companies are setting their sights on the Philippines as Taiwan Expo 2026 opens in Manila from Sept. 17 to 19.
The timing lines up with a beauty industry that's still expanding. The Chamber of Cosmetics Industry of the Philippines projects sales growth of 9% to 10% in 2026, building on 10.1% growth the year before.
That kind of sustained demand is pulling in more than the usual roster of beauty brands. It's also creating room for products that blend cosmetics with technology, wellness, authentication and other functional uses — categories Taiwanese exhibitors are betting on.
At Taiwan Expo's Beauty & Wellness Pavilion, companies from Taiwan will present shimmer cosmetics, anti-counterfeiting technology, functional bio-electro devices and other beauty and wellness products aimed at both everyday consumers and the businesses looking to stock new categories.
The anti-counterfeiting technology may carry particular weight for a sector that increasingly sells through traditional retail, e-commerce and social commerce all at once. Spreading across that many channels raises the stakes on authenticity, making it a growing concern for brands and distributors trying to protect consumer trust.
The pavilion will also feature sterile medical supplies and dressings, a reminder that Taiwanese manufacturers operate well beyond cosmetics alone, spanning personal care, wellness and consumer health products.
Last year's edition backs up the pavilion's pitch with real numbers. Taiwan Expo 2025 drew more than 10,000 visitors and buyers and generated roughly $53.4 million in business opportunities.
For Philippine cosmetics companies, beauty retailers, e-commerce sellers, distributors and wellness operators, the pavilion offers a direct line to Taiwanese brands and technologies weighing their entry into the local market.
